Customer Service Representative (Canada Summer Jobs)

Mission Services of London is a non-profit social service agency dedicated to serving residents of London and Middlesex County with compassion and dignity. The Mission Store of Mission Services of London has an opening for a Customer Service Representative summer student contract position. To work alongside store staff and volunteers with the goal of providing a strong customer experience and client experience. This role will report directly to the Store Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure every customer receives outstanding service by maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment.
  • Assist with the organization, storage, and efficient flow of donated goods.
  • Replenish merchandise, monitor floor stock levels, and process incoming donations.
  • Direct customers to locate merchandise and provide assistance as needed.
  • Process cash, credit, and debit transactions using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Support customers in the fitting room area, providing assistance as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Dependable with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work alone making good judgment calls based on the organization’s values
  • A good listener, communicator and team player
  • Sensitive to the life circumstances of clients
  • Qualifications (as stated by Service Canada; Canada Summer Jobs):
  1. be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
  2. be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment and
  3. have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

 

Position Details:

  • 35 hours per week - Contract: June 2 – July 28, 2026
  • Compensation: $18.05 per hour
