DSO SWR is currently recruiting an Eligibility Confirmation Specialist
The Eligibility Confirmation Specialist will:
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the eligibility criteria for Developmental Services as stated in the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities (SIPDDA) Act, 2008
• Review Psychological Assessments and other information provided by applicants to the DSO SWR as requested by DSO Intake Coordinators
• Determine if the information provided aligns with the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act (2008) definition of a Developmental Disability
• Complete and upload documentation detailing if an applicant is eligible or not eligible for adult developmental services to the provincial database within the timeframes outlined in SIPPDA
• Ensure the privacy and security of personal information following MCCSS privacy and security requirements and all related legislation
• Provide information or clarification to people with disabilities and/or their family members regarding the eligibility criteria outlined in the Act
• Provide information to consulting psychologists regarding the criteria outlined in the Act
The DSO will provide a laptop and access to the Developmental Services Consolidated Information System
This work is completely remote, and work hours are flexible
Average of 2-4 hours per week, based on the number of applicants
Remuneration is $38 per hour
Those best suited for this position are psychometrists, psychologists, or psychological associates. The DSO prefers candidates registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
