Humana Community Services is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role supports a variety of HR and payroll functions including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and administrative support.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and committed to providing excellent service to both internal stakeholders and prospective candidates.
Location: London, ON,
Schedule: 40 hrs/week; onsite Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain onboarding processes, ensuring timely completion of all required documentation.
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process including attraction, selection, acquisition, orientation, and onboarding in collaboration with management.
- Support the Payroll team with timely and accurate employee documentation for biweekly payroll.
- Maintain and organize employee files, including contracts, onboarding checklists, and compliance-related records.
- Conduct initial screenings of candidates to assess qualifications and availability.
- Administer and update training records and documentation.
- Provide general HR administrative support and respond to inquiries related to recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of two years of HR and/or recruitment experience.
- Completion of a post-secondary program in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience using HRIS platforms and proficiency in data entry.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- High attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and detail.
- Ability to make sound decisions in alignment with policies and procedures.
- Office/administrative experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills grounded in empathy, respect, and anti-oppressive communication.
- Assets: Bilingualism, lived experience, and familiarity with ADP Workforce Now.
Conditions of Employment
- A satisfactory Police Check completed within the past six (6) months is required.
- Completion of a Physical Health Assessment, including up-to-date immunizations and COVID-19 vaccination status (minimum 2 doses).
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
