We’ve evolved from our community theatre roots into a fully professional company, paying our artists and presenting high-quality, thought-provoking plays. Even without a permanent theatre space, we’ve transformed unconventional venues into captivating stages — a testament to our creativity, resilience, and passion for storytelling.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking engaged, community-minded individuals to join our working Board of Directors — especially those who are excited to help pilot fundraising efforts as Theatre Aezir grows.
We’re looking for people who enjoy building relationships, opening doors, and helping to connect the company with new supporters.
Board Member Responsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance to support Theatre Aezir’s mission and future growth.
Attend monthly board meetings and participate in special initiatives and events.
Pilot fundraising efforts by contributing personally, reaching out to contacts, cultivating donors and sponsors, and supporting campaigns and events.
Serve as an advocate for Theatre Aezir in the community, helping to build awareness and enthusiasm.
Share ideas and expertise to strengthen programming, outreach, and long-term planning.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A passion for the arts and a belief in Theatre Aezir’s vision.
- Interest in piloting and participating in fundraising activities and connecting with potential supporters.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, business development, or non-profit work (an asset, not required).
- Familiarity with non-profit governance or the performing arts sector (a bonus, not a must).
